Artwork acquired directly from the artist in 2017. It was awarded at the Certamen de Arte Contemporáneo held at the University of Puerto Rico in 2011. The diphtic type piece consist of a tongue sculpture inspired in the artist grandmother and pieces of textile. Both elements ponder to how language has been used by society as a hierarchic force in the relations of power.
