Jesús Bubu Negrón Low Budget Drawings - Chemi's Room
Video
2011

This video shows the exhibition "Nuevos Trabajos, Jesús Bubu Negrón" that took place in Chemi's Room April 13, 2011. The artist created 350 small drawings (120 exhibited) of things related to everyday life (coffee pots, bicycles, plants, palms, etc). Drawn from the premise of the economic crisis affecting Puerto Rico and the world, the art industry is not except, so Bubu in a way of protest sold these pieces for a cheap price making a judgement to the exorbitant prices of today's art.

Chemi's Room is the apartment of Puerto Rican artist Chemi Rosado-Seijo. Since 2009 he turned it into an exhibition gallery providing a space for organizing self-managed exhibitions, projects and art shows; serving as a center for meeting and exchange in the Puerto Rican contemporary art scene.
