Bobby Cruz has worked with the theme of cans for years, connecting the social traditions of drinking some type of sodas and beers in Puerto Rico. At the same time he elevates the forms of a simple crushed can and turns it into a beautiful object that makes any spectator enjoy its natural corners and indentations. Following this line of work he has also created sculptures of compressed cans making big cubes, reminding us the recycling process of this material and its infinite uses.

This artwork was acquired in 2015 directly from the artist at his studio in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
