Diego Hiromi
Diego H. Rodriguez Carrión (Diego Hiromi) is a painter born on July 26, 1995, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Studied at Atelier San Juan under the guidance of artists Luis Borrero and Amber Lia-Kloppel, learning Old Master techniques in drawing and painting. In 2017, earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA). While at PAFA, he has won awards such as the William Emlen Cresson Memorial Travel Grant, the Woodmere Art Museum Purchase Award, the Pennsylvania Governor's Award, the Don Sabath Award, the Sylvia G. Wexler Memorial Award, the Samuel David Memorial Award for Molded Drawing, the Rose and Nathan Rubinson Wharton Esherick Memorial Award, and the Frances D. Bergman Memorial Award. In addition, Diego has participated in group exhibitions at PAFA, The Woodmere Art Museum, and The University of the Arts.
